Storie concatenate nel fluire del tempo, dal passato coloniale a un futuro postatomico, eventi che apparentemente non hanno nulla a che vedere l'uno con l'altro, eppure legati da personaggi che si rincontrano ancora e ancora, attraverso rivelazioni mistiche e il fluire di una musica affascinante e misteriosa.
Se avessi letto il libro prima di vedere il film, avrei giurato che sarebbe stato impossibile comprimere questo romanzo alle dimensioni di un film, eppure è successo, e la pellicola con Tom Hanks riesce a mantenere tutta la magia del romanzo.


Stories linked in the flow of time, from the colonial past to a post-atomic future, events that apparently have nothing to do with each other, yet linked by characters who meet again again and again, through mystical revelations and the flow of a fascinating and mysterious music.
If I had read the book before seeing the film, I would have sworn that it would be impossible to compress this novel to the size of a movie, but it happened, and the film with Tom Hanks gets all the magic of the novel.
