Ci sono un po' troppe cose irrisolte in questo romanzo, che non è riuscito a soddisfarmi nonostante sia scritto molto bene.
Ci sono troppe persone delle quali non si conosce il destino, che si incontrano e non se ne capisce bene il motivo.
Ci sono troppi avvenimenti privi di spiegazione, troppi fatti che potrebbero portare la trama ovunque tranne dove realmente va a finire.
Eppure le atmosfere sono intriganti e i personaggi ben descritti, e leggere questo libro imperfetto alla fine non è una perdita di tempo.


There are a bit too many unresolved things in this novel, which failed to satisfy me although it is very well written.
There are too many people of whom you do not know the fate, who meet and you do not understand well why.
There are too many events without explanation, too many facts that could lead the plot everywhere except where it really goes.
Yet the atmosphere is intriguing and the characters well-described, and to read this imperfect book at the end is not a waste of time.
