Come sempre accade nei libri di giallisti scandinavi, più che la trama è importante l'indagine sociale, l'addentrarsi nei mali della società, quella società che è apparentemente perfetta e superiore, ma che nasconde un profondo disagio.
Così abbiamo una lunga storia di odio che attraversa più generazioni e si sfoga in brutali omicidi, che si unisce a dosi incredibili di stupidità, cattiveria e pregiudizi.
Da tutto questo, non esce bene nessuno.
L'impressione è che la Läckberg abbia messo un po' troppa carne al fuoco, non riuscendo così a controllare diversi punti dello svolgimento in un romanzo che invece ha parecchi punti di interesse.


As always happens in crime novel from Scandinavian writers, rather than the plot is important the social survey, that goes into the evils of society, the same society that is seemingly perfect and superior, but that hides a deep unease.
So we have a long history of hatred that crosses generations and vents in brutal murders and that joins with an incredible dose of stupidity, malice and prejudice.
From all this, no one come out well.
The impression is that Läckberg has put a bit too many irons in the fire, not having the control of different parts of the plot in a novel that instead has several points of interest.
